The Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area celebrates its 40th Anniversary in 2018! Despite all the superlatives most of us use to describe this expansive, beautiful, and eminently wild place, it remains largely unknown relative to neighboring Yellowstone National Park. And that’s probably a good thing! Come find out more about the history, the geography, the ecology, and ultimately the future of this reclusive wilderness gem on our doorstep!
